"Here is my main studio setup these days: Macintosh computer, Otari 8-track and Soundcraft mixer, Yamaha DX7II and TX81Z, Ensoniq EPS16+, Korg Wavestation, Sequential Prophet 5 and SixTrack, Casio CZ101, Lexicon reverbs, Eventide H3000, delays and other procesors, steel guitar, bamboo and clay flutes, percussion, etc. etc."

Find it on:

"Mostly Eventide H3000, and Sony R7 reverb and D7 echo, TC Electronics M3000, and various old retro DDLs and flangers and stuff. I still have my old Delta Labs 1024, which is still one of the best flangers."

Find it on:

"I still have the keyboards that I have been using for many years: Korg Wavestation, Yamaha DX7 and TG77, Sequential Prophet 5, Ensoniq ASR10 sampler."

Find it on:

"I have a nice private studio with good mics, a Mac G3 running CuBase (and older Mac running an old version of ProTools), Mackie d8b mixer, analog and digital synths including a nice new modular synth (MOTM by Synthesis Technologies), piano, etc."

Find it on:

"My live setup is mostly the sampler, Wavestation, sometimes the DX7, a small mixer, long looping delays, echoes and reverbs, homemade flutes and steel guitar. In the studio I have ProTools, a piano, a few additinal synth modules (rarely used), an Eventide H3000, some nice reverbs, good microphones, lots of percussion, odd stringed instruments, things like that."

Find it on:

"Sometimes I would be patching away, and something inspiring would happen, and … I was trying to do the album entirely in 24-bit resolution, so I would just, I have a Tascam DA-78, so I would just roll tape, and then take excerpts from those tapes and edit them out into Cubase, using a Mackie D8B for conversion, bouncing back and forth between the tape and Cubase VST 5.0."

Find it on:

"I found that I couldn’t really make good music at CCRMA. I just could not think musically while writing computer programs to make the sounds. I got much better work done at home with my cheap modular synth, a Prophet 5 and a Revox B77. I’ve been a home-recordist at heart since the beginning, I guess."

Find it on:

"I was using a Lexicon PCM 60 since 1984 when it came out, until the late '90s."

Find it on:

"I still use a TC Electronic M3000, usually for tiny amounts of short "air", and a Sony DPS-V55 to try to replace the dead R7 (it's not the same, though.)"

Find it on:

" I also use a Lexicon MX400 a little bit, but only for its surround dual-reverb algorithm to add glue to surround mixes. My problem with the Lexicon sound is that it tend to get muddy, although I love the richness."

Find it on:

"I'm running Logic on a Mac Pro Xeon 8-core, using a Yamaha 02R96 as a front end. I still use outboard synths and processing, along with soft-synths and plug-ins. It's a hybrid studio for maximum flexibility."

Find it on:

"I used it quite extensively on my most recent album, Medicine Box. In fact, it's on every piece. I would have used Aether more before that but I was still using a G5 Mac until 2010. Aether gave me a good incentive to upgrade!"
