"Widely used in this band for all of the early records [2009's Before The Fire and 2011's Pressure And Time] is the Keeley Time Machine Boost.

"It's basically like an old Dallas Rangemaster [the sought-after 60s treble-booster made popular by the likes of Brian May and Tony Iommi]. It's hardwired and it's got a Germanium tranny in it. It's awesome," reads this article, on Holiday's rig.

"I’m terrible at recalling which gear goes with which tune, but I think I used my ’62 Fender Jazzmaster with Lollar P-90s for most of “Keep On Swinging.” I plugged that into either my Basic Audio Gnarly Fuzz or original Vox Tone Bender, into this little Supro amp."

"The first track you hear is a ’66 Telecaster into a mid-’60s Vox Berkeley, which is a solid-state Vox with reverb. It’s a weird-sounding amp, but of course it can’t be all bad because the Beatles used it. The sound of that amp, that guitar, and the weird reverb was really dark and strange."

"He’s got a stellar guitar collection. I’ll use his 1960 ES-335 as well as his Gretsch White Penguin, along with all my stuff. In the beginning, we find the guitar/ amp setup that is the general sound of the record and we’ll go from there. We work with that setup until we feel something needs to be changed. It’s really easy, actually. I can pretty much stumble and fall on a great guitar."

Find it on:

"I also played an old Harmony Rocket—Dave Davies used one with the Kinks—with the DeArmond screen pickups. It’s a great, coolsounding 335-style guitar, but totally hollow."

I am so pleased to introduce this beautiful new instrument presented to me by my good friends at @meloduendeguitars . Appropriately named "Penny" by my daughter. We worked on ideas and details over the last year to come up with this beautiful and exquisite design. These guys are truly in a league of their own. #mightbethecoolestguitarever

In 31:25 of this video. Scott Holiday speaks about the one off pedal bulit for him by Karaluch Custom Pedals. They are a pedal manufacturing company from Poland. According to this video, Scott Holiday says,"They came to all of our concerts in Poland and presented me with one off pedals. This one is called Go Ahead Mr. Fuzz Lord with a trumpet on it because the name is inpired by the song Go Ahead John by Miles Davis which features John McLaughlin playing a fuzz pedal which sounds kinda like Bumblebee Hornish which I am in love with." Under this pedal there is also an engraving of Scott Holiday with the date of when this pedal was presented to him.
