Shook's Gear
Shook says about the Yamaha CP-70b: "Piano used for my album "Continuum". It always had the right voice for the story I wanted to tell."
In this Audient Producer Profile from Audient's Official Blog, Shook is asked:
"Q: Whatโs your synth setup? A: I really love old synthesizers and new ones. For my album, I used a lot of Prophet 08, Juno 60, DX7, Arturia Minibrute and some old string synthesizers like the Korg PE-1000."
In a recent instagram post Shook stated: "I'm back home again.????? Bought myself a Moog that needs a bit of loving.????????????" which then displays Shook working on the Polymoog keyboard.
In this video Shook plays a short improvisation on the Minimoog Model D.
In an interview w/ Audient, Shook discusses his use of the iD22 here:
"I was used to recording with other older gear, and they did the job at the time, but when I first heard the sounds quality of the ID22, it really opened my ears to a new world! At first I was pretty skeptic, but when I heard the difference I was blown away. It really helped improve my mixes. It really makes a lot of difference if you have a very dynamic and rich sound to begin with. If it already is a good recording to begin with, most of the times you donโt have to โworkโ that hard to get a good sound in a mix."
In this Audient Producer Profile from Audient's Official Blog, Shook talks about this pre-amp, saying the following "I love recording with the di from the ASP880. The JFET circuit has some very subtle musical distortion, which I think is very pleasant when recording guitar, but I like to record synthesizers on it too! Itโs a very subtle color, but a very pleasant one and I suggest others to try it out!"

In this cleverly written article from The Ransom Note, Chris Todd interviews Shook in a series of "shook" based questions:
"Q: WHAT WAS THE LAST THING YOU SHOOK? A: My Korg R3. Stupid knobs broke off. Now I have to buy a new synth for my live gigs."
In this image shared to Shook's Facebook page, we see him with an Akai Professional APC40 Ableton Performance Controller.
"Picking up a Nord Stage today!" - via Shook's Facebook page.
You can tell it is the EX/88 key version quickly by looking at the highest keys - 3 black keys and 2 white at the far right. The 88 key version is the only one with that range.
In this video that Shook shared to YouTube, titled "Jamming on the G2", he performs for a couple of minutes on a Nord Modular G2 Synthesizer.
In an Instagram post, Shook shares a nighttime recording session featuring the Moog Minifooger MF Chorus, highlighting its use with the caption "Chorus fun๐๐๐ต๐น #moog #shookmusic."
Hooked up to Juno 60 during night recording.

On Instagram Shook posts a Picture of showing FL Studio 10.

Jasper Wijnands a.k.a Shook mentions the Prophet 12 in an article "Artist Spotlight" from the website of Sequential. > A few years later, Dave Smith released the Prophet 12, which was also really incredible to me. I remember watching YouTube videos and listening to all the sound demos online. After testing it in the music shop, I bought it, brought it back to my studio, and I started creating huge pad sounds which ended up on my next album Continuum. You can hear Prophet 12 pads all over my song You Were Bigger Than Life.โ
