Slash's Guitars
This guitar is used for live work including Guns N' Roses, Slash's Snakepit and Velvet Revolver.
According to Guns and Roses guitarist Slash, his first guitar was a Memphis Les Paul copy. "That was my first electric guitar, and that was pretty special to me up until I learned that that wasn't really that great a guitar!" he says at (0:30).
"The main guitar I play live is one of two Les Paul Standards I bought in 1987. This one has always been my main stage guitar. It just sounds good and feels right to me."
This 1959 Gibson Flying V was the lead guitar for the songs "Knockin' On Heaven's Door", "Live And Let Die" and "Estranged".

In a YouTube video from the Michael Jackson 30th Anniversary Celebration, Slash mentions that one of the first guitars he owned was a late '70s B.C. Rich Mockingbird, which he describes as "a really cool one I had for quite a few years" at the 0:45 mark. In addition to this guitar, Slash owns six other Mockingbirds.
Slash used a Transparent Green version of this guitar for a number of Guns 'n' Roses and Velvet Revolver preformances, Slash also owns these models in Red, Blue, and Black finishes.

A 1956 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop was used for the rhythm sections of the songs "Estranged", "Fall To Pieces" and "You Got No Right".
In this pic, Slash is seen playing a black/white Jackson Soloist back in the early days of Guns N' Roses. It's got two buckers, a Floyd Rose, and reverse upside sharkfin inlays. It also appears to have a pretty thick body for a Soloist. No word on where the guitar is nowadays however.
For a good year or so in the early days of GNR, Slash often used a Jackson Firebird. The guitar was black in finish, equipped with a Floyd Rose, two humbuckers, a 22-fret ebony fretboard with Jackson inlays, and featured a sticker modeled after Slash's lady tattoo with his nickname underneath the sticker. This guitar was used to record the rhythm parts for "Appetite for Destruction." Unsatisfied with the tones of the guitar for solos, he pawned it so he could fund some bad habits. It's currently whereabouts are unknown.
A cheap Gibson Explorer natural copy was also one the first owned Slash guitar.
A 1960 Gibson SG was used as a rhythm guitar for the song "My Michelle".

According to Slash's guitar tech, Slash's main guitars are the "Slash AFD guitars. They're replicas of the Les Pauls he used on the Appetite for Destruction album, and every album since then. (0:25). "He actually used the original guitar on the last album, but we keep it safely put away - we use copies Gibson makes for us that are awesome guitars in their own right," the tech said.
