In a feature from Magnet Magazine, Gary Jarman mentions using the DOD Bass Grunge pedal all over their album In The Belly Of The Brazen Bull:

"We love these pedals. We got our first DOD pedal, a cheap fuzz box, in 1994. They have made some of the most bizarre effects ever to hit the production line. The most famous of which being the Grunge pedal, a goofy name but killer sound and super cheap. The Bass Grunge is all over our new record. They had one pedal, The Buzz Box, ostensibly based on the guitar sound of Buzz Osborne from Melvins, but in actuality it’s the most unpredictable, noisy and harsh pedal we’ve ever come across. The fact that a company was mass-producing these things for the retail market is insane but amazing. We don’t believe in the snobby purist school of thought that you should try and get the most natural amp distortion; we just love a good stomp box, and DOD epitomizes that with their crazy and unusual pedals."
