Founded in 1982 by Ivor Drawmer (1943–2023) in Yorkshire, England, Drawmer Electronics is a professional audio equipment manufacturer known for dynamics processors, preamps, equalisers, and monitor controllers. The company's first product, the DS201 Dual Noise Gate, was the world's first frequency-conscious noise gate, transforming what had been a simple on/off device into a creative production tool. The 1960 Mic Preamp/Vacuum Tube Compressor, introduced in 1984, became one of the most widely used studio outboard units in the world, tracked with by artists including Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Madonna, Stevie Wonder, and Lady Gaga.

Drawmer's product line spans studio dynamics (compressors, gates, limiters), the 1970s range of preamps and equalisers (including the 1971 parametric EQ and 1973 three-band FET compressor), 500-series modules, monitor controllers such as the MC2.1 and MC3.1, and installation products for broadcast and live sound. The company also offers software plug-ins developed in collaboration with Softube. Drawmer has developed several proprietary technologies over the years, including Programme Adaptive gating circuitry and Zero Overshoot limiting.
