The Bison Bass produces a hollow sound, reminiscent of acoustic electric bass tones, similar to the bass tone on Beck's song "Paper Tiger."

Looks nice, good tone options but VERY long!
You cannot play this bass if you have short arms because the low notes are a long reach.

"I also stumbled upon an old Burns Bison bass. That is the heaviest instrument I've played, it weighed a ton but it is the closest in its bottom end to the Thunderbird. That bass brought life to a few tracks. I'm still using the Ampeg. I haven't found anything that will better it."
