The "sampling cd / library" he's referring to is the Deadmau5 XFER Sample Pack.
In Avicii's "In the studio" video with Future Music, you can see various subfolders from this sample pack within his library. In this frame you can see the folder "Deadmau5 Snares".
Zedd used this sample pack in a large variety of his songs. Such as the sample 'XF_CymFX01' under the sub bank 'CymbalFX'. An instance of this sample can be heard in 'Break Free' at 3:38
Alesso used this pack in 'Workaholic'. The sample is called 'XF_Loop_085' under the sub bank 'Loops'. You can hear it at the beginning of the song.
