Description
The Electra Piano T was designed to be a portable version of the console Hohner Electra Piano. The model T has a radically different action and harp from the console Electra. The action of the T has a unique feature: as the hammer is raised by the key, the main body of the hammer is stopped against a fixed bar. A separate tongue with the hammer tip mounted on it then flips up to strike the reed. This system gives far more touch sensitivity than in the console Electra, and hints at a new dimension of compact electro-mechanical piano building. Inventor Ernst Zacharias was awarded a patent for this design in 1973.
Unfortunately, the Electra Piano T was not a success, which explains its extreme rarity.

Hohner Electra Piano T - the German Wurlitzer for the road
There are two models of the Hohner Electra Piano. The wooden cabinet for home purposes. And the model "T" (transportable) for the road. It sounds more aggressive than a Rhodes or Wurlitzer with a smaller range to control the key velocity. use it in a funky environment. No tremolo, just volume switch...
