Critic Reviews

Modartt Organteq

soundonsound.com

Modartt's Organteq ventures into the challenging realm of pipe organ emulation with mixed results. While it offers innovative features like rank assignment to stops and multiple manuals, it falls short in performance reliability, particularly under heavy polyphony, which can lead to frustrating glitches. The sound quality is commendable, yet inconsistencies in certain ranks, such as the Vox Humana, may deter discerning users. Although Organteq is an exciting step towards affordable physical modeling, it still has room to grow before it can compete with higher-end options. A promising start, but not without its hurdles.

Great sound engine

Like Pianoteq, MODARTT's Organteq has such a great sound engine while maintaining such great CPU efficiency. No more needing to load unwieldly Kontakt libraries for my pipe-organ needs! =D
