The absolute best pack you can buy
If you are starting out and want a solid collection of industry-standard pro quality instruments and effects, buy this in the biggest version you can afford.
It's that simple.
From electronics to orchestral scoring, IDM to hip-hop, whatever you need, it's in here and what you get is superb.
There are eq's, compressors, reverbs, loads of synths, loops, sample packs, strings, pianos, cinematic percussion, fx, modular synths.
I honestly don't think you could spend a better chunk of money and get better value than Komplete.
It's enough to send you a very long way down the route of a professional setup.

Solid.
Solid upgrade from Komplete 10 I used previously.I payed the upgrade version, and the best thing is that all downloads are know available in Native Access, so I can choose what to install there fast and easy compare to disk installations. The only coins is that it don`t have any orchestra set,not even basic one, only Session Strings 2 which is not ideal for making cinematic music.

Awesome
Bought into the Komplete world at version 9 and now own 12 Ultimate. Now every year I update Komplete usually to the ultimate version. Expensive but one of the best collection of music programs, samples, sounds, effects available. Includes the indispensable Kontakt Sampler which allows access to the best sample libraries such as those from Spitfire, Sonokinetics, Berlin Instruments etc. Expensive but for me essential. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous
This is an amazing software package. A big one-time purchase that includes most of the things one ever needs for music production using a computer. I had some small issues with the software, but NI support is very helpful and there hasn't been any case when they couldn't help me. Komplete is an industry standard for many reasons. :)

Komplete is an apt title!
I bought a couple of Native Instruments' synthesizers and plugins before making the plunge into Komplete, and I'm still kicking myself for not doing so sooner. The bundle of plugins and instruments included in this pack will satisfy producers in all styles and genres—granted, I've only used them for electronic music production for the most part, but I've also done my fair share of recording and performing with traditional acoustic instruments, and the tools in this bundle handled them equally well.
Nearly $500 is not cheap, but if you can afford to make the leap, you'll be heavily rewarded.

There's so much stuff you get for your money
This was expensive and I missed out on a half price sale after buying it but it's still great value for money. I love that it includes the vst massive as well as massive x. I have used ethereal earth to create atmos for my trance music, but there is a lot more I need to try. The whole download takes up about over 200 gig (the version I bought).

Wide variety of powerful tools
Amazing product for anyone who wants to always have a high quality backup library for nearly any compositional or production situation. Works extremely well for my workflow.
Version: Native Instruments Komplete 11120
The Swiss army knife of music production
I mainly use NI FM8 from this collection, although it is so huge and there are so many possibilities from this, you could spend your whole life figuring out how to use everything in this, my only complaint is there isn't enough time to go through everything it has to offer.
Version: Native Instruments Komplete 9Vital
Incredibly useful, and brimming with staple instruments of an incredibly high quality.
Occasionally I find the high quality of sampling is a little characterless. I'd always prefer to record live instruments of this reason. However, when short on time a ready to go Organ preset or a well recorded Glockenspiel is a magical resource.
Also, I find that some instruments like the Studio drummer, or Abbey Road 6t0's Drummer are a bit too complicated to manipulate internally. \ This can be frustrating as the presets are ultimately not very useful. It pays to learn how to get the sounds you reach for most, as it can be time consuming dialling in the right amount of room sound for each drum etc...
Version: Native Instruments Komplete 10193
The best all around virtual synth/sampler library available
If it can be done, it can be done in Komplete. There's virtually no sound (real or synthetic) that can be recreated within this suite of programs. Classic synths, orchestral instruments, native & ethnic instruments and percussion, voices, cinematic and special effects, the list is nearly endless. I've owned Komplete since version 3 and they've just steadily increased the value of their product suite with each new iteration. If I had to choose one software suite for my vst/au instrument needs (not to mention there are some great signal chain plugins as well), it would be Komplete every time.
