Zenology alone makes Roland Cloud worth it
I have installed a large portion of the synths available on Roland Cloud, but nothing prepared me for the power of Zenology, and it's only just begun. Zenology promises to become the most powerful softsynth in the world when it gets patch editing and LFO control, but it's already off to a good start with an incredible 3597 presets and a good range of additional themed preset packs available, plus filter control and MFX. Cheaper subscriptions to Roland Cloud are now available but I'm sticking with Ultimate which is still great value if you make good use of it, at only $20/month, and will include Zenology Pro at no additional cost.

Good service, but the lack of transparency is disappointing.
Samples and patches are reorganized, if not removed outright. Patches get new names as well, so good luck looking through all the patches for those classics you know by heart. The installer software isn't too good, either. I've had plenty of hiccups installing some of the stuff on there, though I don't know if that stuff's been fixed as I've been unsubscribed for half a year or so now. The Sound Canvas VA plugin is very neat, all things considered.

Synth paradise
I absolutely love Roland Cloud. Can’t wait for future updates. Awesome to have my old D-50 back and it can read sysex files.
