Layers serves up a remarkable selection of orchestral sounds without the hefty price tag. With 17 GB of pristine samples and a user-friendly interface, it’s a gem for beginners. However, seasoned musicians may find it lacking in depth and control. While the sounds are fantastic, the interface can be cumbersome on smaller screens, and performance issues have been reported on older systems. Overall, it’s a great addition to any budding composer’s toolkit, but not a replacement for established libraries.
