I've added this pedal about 2 months ago to my board... Now, everytime I turn it on I come to the question: "How could I live without it for so many years???". Amazing transparent compression in a small box, rack quality compression on the palm of your hand. Very easy to set, controls with a lot of possibilities. If I have to choose to have only one pedal in my set it would be this one... A must have!
For about seven years now this pedal has been the base of my bass sound. Excellent tone, very easy to set, nice equalization, lots of different possibilities and great performanace with any amp. Also to gate and distorted channel are very usefull. Nowadays I use the distorted channel only as a clean boost, since I have a dedicated distortion pedal on my board. Must have for any bassist.
Along with the M80 Bass DI, this pedal has been on my board for more than seven years. It gives the full body octave down with excelente tracking from bottom to top. Put the M87 Bass Compressor before this pair and there are the 3 pedals that are switched on in my board most of the time! I really recommend.
This pedal has very good sounds. It isn't that easy to program, even with the software when pluged to computer. One can get synth sounds very close to analog. Octave pedal is not the best (I still keep a dedicated octave pedal in my board) and tracking isn't perfect, with some glitches once in a while (putting a compressor before it helps a lot with the tracking). End of the day is a very nice pedal, but I expected more from it.

Very reliable, perfect working sustain pedal. And durable as well; I have mine for 20+ years. The rubber support for foot also Works very well, avoiding it to slide away while you are playing.

Almost "The" Classic distortion pedal. Very good sound for the price, very traditional. I was really surprised how it Works good with bass guitar as well... I've tried a handful of distortion bass pedals (some of them very expensive...) until one day the guitarrista of my band came up with na old DS-1... It sounded better than anything before it, so it went to my board immediately. Later on I discovered a lot of bassists that use this pedal for distortion. The tone control allow you to keep to low end even at very high levels of distortion.
Very good and flexible pedal! I use it to get the bass sounds samples from my keyboard into my pedalboard, mixing with the actual bass guitar. It does the job nicely and on live performances most of people can't tell if the bass sound is coming from keyboard or from bass...
