In the 10th anniversary special edition release of Salad Days, Mac DeMarco details much of the gear used to record the album, explicitly mentioning the use of a Paiste 24" Giant Beat Ride Cymbal on tracks featuring a full acoustic kit. This information is confirmed by Pop Music's documentation in the release titled "Mac DeMarco - Salad Days (10th Anniversary) [Holographic Black Vinyl]."
Bonham used a Paiste Giant Beat Ride and other Giant Beat cymbals until 1971. After 1971, he switched to Paiste 2002 cymbals (Paiste 2002 were not made until 1971). This page details the cymbals used recording When The Levee Breaks, and for his drumming around that time. He also used Giant Beat 16" and 18" Medium crash cymbals.
