A boutique load box/IR loader that earns the hype: Amp Central is praised for a superb reactive load, convincing feel, strong built-in IRs, and a feature set that borders on overkill—stereo FX loop, MIDI, headphone amp, line out, and both reactive/resistive modes. The reviewer calls it one of the best-value, best-sounding options in its class and was “blown away” by the first notes. Still, it’s not spotless. The chassis is huge, the price feels a bit steep, it forgets the last IR setting on power-up, the knobs are hard to read, input setup is fussier than it should be, and the dated USB printer-style port is an annoyance. Availability is also messy through dealers. Even with those frustrations, this lands as an enthusiastic endorsement.
