Description
The Sabian 22" AAX Medium Ride Cymbal in a Brilliant Finish is a true testament to Sabian's innovative craftsmanship, blending traditional artistry with modern sound demands. This ride cymbal is part of the AAX series, known for its ability to push sonic boundaries and deliver a versatile auditory experience for drummers across genres. Crafted from B20 bronze, an alloy revered for its deep musicality, this cymbal offers a balanced tone that resonates with both warmth and clarity.
One of the standout features of this cymbal is its slightly larger bell, which contributes to its powerful and modern sound profile. The unique hammering process, visibly different due to the larger and rounder peen marks, gives this cymbal a thinner weight without sacrificing its rich, complex tonal qualities. This results in a sound that is both brighter in the highs and more intricate in the lows, delivering a wide frequency range that can cut through the mix with ease.
Whether you're playing in a small club or a large stadium, the AAX Medium Ride's combination of speed, projection, and tone ensures that every note you play is heard clearly. Its excellent crash-ability and dynamic range make it an essential piece for drummers seeking both versatility and distinction in their setup.

2:38 "Sabian is spoiling the hell out of me for this tour, and other things, and they just sound great, and they're so play. Lot's of nuance in the cymbals even for a rock gig like this, so I'll just take you around from left to right. HHX Evolution O-Zone 18", an HHX Complex Thin Crash 18, an AA Raw Bell 18, this guy right here gets the bulk of the hitting throughout the gig. It's a nice rock and roll cymbal. 14" Anthology Low Bell Hi-hats, my ride is a 22" AAX Medium Ride, I have an HHX Complex Thin 19, so an 18 on the left, 19 on the right. Few of the brand new Stratus line of cymbals; Stratus 20" Crash, I can't get that out of my mouth, and then I have the Stratus 18" Zero Crash with the 18" China on the bottom for my stack. And then, maybe my favorite cymbal of all here is the HHX 20" Zen China with rivets in it, so this just reminds me of Phil Collins, like 'Seconds Out' era china sound."
