This IS that sound from the 80's
While not a pristine clean signal, this is the cheaper version of the famous x100 used by SO many 80's hard rock / metal bands. I use this in my studio for getting that compressed, chorusy, high gain sound that you will immediately recognize. The clean mode is THE chimey, chorus sound of acoustic metal ballads from bands like Def Leppard, Poison, White Lion, etc...
