Trace Elliot MP11 (MM Sep 87)

muzines.co.uk

The Trace Elliot MP11 is a programmable pre-amp that dazzles with its ability to save and switch between different EQ settings at a whim, making it a bassist's dream for live performances. With ten built-in presets designed for bass players' preferred sounds and the option to store your own, its adaptability is a major selling point. However, at a steep price of £1075 with the footswitch, it's a significant investment compared to the non-programmable GP11. Minor gripes include slightly insensitive controls and the costly nature of the setup, but it remains a desirable piece of kit for those willing to pay for top-notch technology.
