Walmart Bass Package with 15 watt amp

It is what it is. I've played mine for 12 years. It's the lowest quality bass I own but with some work, the right strings, and the right amp to play through, you can overcome its flaws.

It has the HUGEST string spacing ever. Nearly 1 inch apart. I took that nasty plastic pickguard off and it looks 100% cooler without it.

Dude, here's a recommendation:

Try not to use beginner instruments unless they're expensive because if they're cheap beginners they play like plastic toys.

Anything under $1000 isn't worth playing professionally; however, I bought this package just to jam with a friend for a couple of hours as I passed through town. I now just keep it in the trunk on the odd chance that I have an opportunity to play with people in a situation where I wasn't planning on playing.

Ok. Thanks for noting that out.
