Throaty and grindy or spanky and round.

For being a bass with single-coil pickups, this one really has allowed me to play both fat and grindy parts with fantastic results. I upgraded the bass with the bell bronze nut and it hasn't shown any sign of wear yet. As this bass is a bit on the 'open' side wood-wise, you will have to care for it at points but the way it shines up afterwards makes that hassle worth it.

Awesome bass, lightweight, good balance

I like this bass. Bubinga wood, great balance, nice fast maple neck with rosewood fretboard, in translucent black and chrome gear is great. The finish is fragile, however - each ding is well-documented now. She sounds a bit on the boomy side- the active electronics inside color the sound quite a bit and it does need better/hotter output. I'd prefer EMG pickups inside but so far so good.
