Brian Fallon
Brian Fallon's Gear
Around 19:17 in this rig rundown, Brian Fallon's relatively simple pedalboard is discussed. One of the pedals (the first one in the chain) is the Jim Dunlop British Invasion Cry Baby Wah Pedal. His guitar tech identifies it as the "Vox normal wah... just the British painted edition." He continues to say it's used by Fallon "just for fun stuff, every now and then."
The signal flow then goes into the Fulltone OCD pedal.
Fallon’s Salvage Custom pedalboard is featured in a Premier Guitar article, and shows an internally hidden T-Rex Fuel Tank Chameleon power source. On top, the signal enters a Dunlop British Invasion Cry Baby Wah decorated with a limited-edition Union Jack paint job. Next is a Fulltone OCD, then a Black Arts Pharaoh that runs into a MXR EVH90 Phase 90. Last in line is a tried-and-true Boss TU-3.
In this photo, the Fulltone Mini Deja Vibe 2 can be seen in Fallon's pedalboard.
"Also - this little gem is a @martinguitar D-41, I was inspired by Neil Young to try one and convinced when I heard @jasonisbell likes them. Anyway, it rules. They rule. And I use a @fishmanmusic Infinity Matrix pickups system with a @lrbaggsofficial floor preamp. Ok - end nerd rant. Love to everybody."
Brian carries three Fender Custom Shop Relic Telecasters on the road. One features Custom Shop Nocaster pickups; the other two each sport a set of Lollar ’52 T pickups. All three Teles feature a 4-way switching system for more tonal options, and Brad Clifford strings them with SIT Power Wound Nickel sets, gauged .010-046.

Fallon owned and used at least two EC Twinoluxes on tour with The Gaslight Anthem. One was sold via eBay circa 2014, while the other—according this June 4, 2022 Instagram post by Ed Auletta of Ed's Guitar Repair—was given Auletta by Fallon circa 2017 in a broken state. Auletta repaired it and sent it to a new home at North End Recording, which now lists the EC Twinolux on its Equipment list.
The EC Tremolux was mentioned by Fallon himself in a January 30, 2013 post on his Tumblr blog, while UberProAudio user Bumper noted it earlier in a November 8, 2012 comment. Fender's official online product page for the EC Tremolux also listed The Gaslight Anthem among the artists using it.

On the latest TGA euro tour Brian got a Eric Clapton signature twinolux and his new Penn as a back up amp. No Teles. He switched between the goldtop and the LP traditional.
Brian Fallon, "Brian’s Guitar Rig…" (January 30, 2013)
Someone asked me about my guitar rig recently, so here it is… Now, this changes ALL the time, so it’s different from tour to tour, sometimes from show to show. I like to try new stuff and keep revolving things in and out.
There’s a few things missing… for shows we use a Fender Eric Clapton Twinolux set to half power with this 1956 Fender Deluxe shown here.
Sometimes the Deluxe gets replaced with a Penn Amp Tremlux built by Billy Penn at 300 Guitars.
They’re both on all the time and they run just on the clean side of dirty.

Selling this Fender EC Twinolux hand wired tweed combo in excellent condition, with road case included. Incredible sounding amp. This is a European 220v, NOT American 110v version. This one is owned by Brian Fallon from the Gaslight Anthem and has been used for the last 2 years for UK and European tours. It has been cleaned and checked by the tech, in perfect working condition and sounds amazing.Wattage: 40 WattsRectifier: Tube (2 x 5U4GB) Pre Amp Tubes: 4 x 12AX7 Power Tubes: 2 x 6L6GE

About 4/5 years ago, @thebrianfallon gave me this beautiful but broken amp. The bracket that holds the choke broke. It fell and ripped the wires out. Being a pretty rare and specific amp (only 2500) made. It was almost impossible to get an exact replacement part. So it sat until I found @antfarmmusic true magicians over there. Now this all original Eric Clapton Fender Twinolux will be gracing the studio at @northendrecording The sound is indescribable.
Hand wired, Mercury transformers, Alnico magnets and Weber/Eminence speakers. 🤤

For pedals, I usually use that Lovepedal Eternity there, or for any leads I use the Fulltone Soulbender. The Pedal looking thing is a Fulltone Deja Vibe, which I got from listening to way too much Tom Petty. It’s awesome, and it’s always set to Chorus.
The main guitar I use is a Gibson ES -345 that Nash Guitars converted into a 335 and painted Pelham Blue. (thanks Brendan O’ Brien) it has Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates pickups in it.
So that’s what I’m using most of the time, subject to change at any moment…
