In this promotional video from Dunlop, James says,
We basically wanted to improve the Black Fang, so we came up with the White Fang. The White Fang is more like the Flow meets the Black Fang, so size wise, it's a slight bit smaller. Smooth this through a knife edge, I can glide on the strings super fast. New materials that stand up a lot longer, basically lasts longer on stage. The other difference from this (Black Fang) is it has the texturing, the grip, which I love and got used to on the Flow. With the size, easy to hang on to. Fast, sleek, and easy to grip. And easy to see when you throw it out into the crowd. White Fang, baby!

In this video of James playing in his home music room you can see a Focusrite of some sort. I can't confirm whether it's the 18i8. But it clearly has 4 inputs in the front and 4 control knobs. It could also possibly be the Clarett 4-pre USB.

The AXE FX II is the second generation of the Fractal AXE FX amp modeling series. this is his live rig, and Kirk Hammett, the Rhythym Guitarist of Metallica also uses this specific model of AXE FX. In a YouTube video titled "Metallica Phantom Lord Live at The Metro 1983," uploaded by 1MASTER1100, at the 0:02 mark, the camera provides a close-up of James Hetfield's guitar during a live performance on August 12th, 1983, at the Metro, Chicago, Illinois. The guitar's headstock appears red, suggesting it may be a variant of Hetfield's Gibson Flying V. Although it resembles the "Candy Apple Red" version, the Gibson Flying V Faded Cherry is a good match. According to wornfrets.com, Hetfield used an "Electra 2236 Flying Wedge," a Japanese clone of the Gibson Flying V, for the recording of "Kill 'em All" during this period; thus, the Gibson guitar was likely used exclusively for live performances.
During this performance of the 'Cunning Stunts' show you can clearly see the whole band using Beta 58a's. James also used this microphone a lot throughout the 90's and perhaps the late 80's. Before he started using Audio-Technica microphones.
