Jonny Greenwood's Gear
One of the modular systems Jonny uses in the studio and for live performances with Radiohead.
Jonny Greenwood can be seen using the Digitech Whammy pedal in this photo.
"So when I started on Max I felt like I’d got past all that, and didn’t have to use someone else’s idea of what a delay, or a reverb, or a sequencer should do, or should sound like – I could start from the ground, and think in terms of sound and maths. It was like coming off the rails. Before there was all this padding between the computer and me. Now there was a blank screen as a starting point…" (Excerpt from Jonny's "Mini Interview" with Cycling 74, the makers of Max)
Used by Jonny in studio. He played it during the March 1998 attempt at recording Big Boots. Some say that Thom or Jonny used the synth quite a lot during the Kid A/Amnesiac sessions, though I don’t know if those sounds are actually from the Rogue. It has also been mistakenly claimed to have been used on 2+2=5, when the synth used on that song is quite probably the Martenot.
A Roland Space Echo RE-201 can be seen on this detailed gear diagram of Jonny Greenwood's 1997 Radiohead stage setup.
Obtained pre-In Rainbows Era. Used, during soundchecks at least, for touring during that period(circa 2006), and during recording sessions, though it is unknown if any recordings of the instrument made it to the final album. It is not known to have seen use since In Rainbows. thekingofgear.com

Radiohead used a heavily downsized setup for their 2010 Haiti Benefit show, and Jonny decided to use an ARP Solina String Ensemble for all of his synth-string and Mellotron parts. For the Haiti Benefit show, Jonny played the Solina on Street Spirit, Airbag, Lucky, Exit Music (for a film), and Dollars and Cents.
It seems that Jonny has in his gear also a Fender Modern Player Starcaster along with his old Fender Starcaster which has been used since 1996. This new guitar first appeared in October 2015 when Jonny was in Budapest with the LCO and the second appearence was made on October 25 2019 in Fermo for the benefit performance at the Teatro Dell'Aquila.

Jonny Greenwood has been seen using a Sharper Image Fingertip Massager during live performances of "Anyone Can Play Guitar." The massager creates unique sounds by vibrating against the guitar pickups, turning the vibrations into distinctive audio signals. While it's uncertain if he used it in the studio version, it's consistent with his experimental style.
This guitar is only used for the song The Daily Mail.
