From Matt Skiba: "This is a '79 Gibson silverburst that is actually turned kind of a green color [...] There was something wrong with the paint where [these guitars] were originally silver and then, after a certain amount of time, I guess the paint oxidizes and turns this green color. So there was a couple of years where [Gibson] didn't figure that out, and I guess that actually makes these guitars worth more money and a little bit more special. I personally think it looks better. Not only did I have to pay for this guitar, [but] I now have to pay my chiropractor and massage therapist endless amounts of money because this thing weighs more than I do, but it's worth it because it sounds amazing. And although it's not the first guitar I pick up when I play, it's definitely one of my favorites in my collection."
