In this photo we can see Tré using the Pearl Export drum kit. According to an article from Drum Magazine. "Tré loves drum sets. He owns dozens of them, stashed in numerous annexes – friends’ houses, studios, at home. It seems like everyone in Berkeley has one of his drum sets in their living room. And he’s never sold a single one, including his first: A Pearl Export that he bought when he was 12. And now, at the age of 23, with a little more cash and a load more credibility, he can’t seem to stop buying drums."

"Pat Foley of Slingerland called me one day and told me he liked the band and he liked my playing. He said that they didn't have many endorsers - in fact, I might be the only one getting their drums for free. I might get in trouble for saying that, but they've been totally cool to me. They don't say shit when I break a drum and ask for a new one, a they really make the best drums I've ever played, the best drums in the world," comments Tre Cool on his sponsorship with Slingerland in an article from Modern Drummer. In the interview with Modern Drummer magazine in November 1997, Tre mentioned that his signature drum kit is being made, "They're making a Tre Cool signature kit for me, which I'm totally psyched about. It's gonna be called Spitfire, and Slingerland is gonna sell them amazingly cheap. They're trying to compete with Pearl for the young rock drummer market. It's a bottom-line drumset, but that's my main interest - a drumkit that kids can afford to buy. I'm sure the drums will sound great for what they are. But sure, I wouldn't probably recommend going into the studio with a set. But who knows? They might sound really good. The main thing is that they're inexpensive. I wouldn't have done it at all if a set didn't sell for under $1000. I'm not gonna tell kids to go out and play some overpriced stuff. I can't hang with that."

The fall of 2016 has been a pretty sweet time for green day! Not only have they released their new studio album "Revolution Radio" but what comes with new albums Well probably new drums for touring. so tré decided to go with his cookies and cream kit by sjc looks very slick might I add. tré on this kit is using 13x9 16x16 18x16 toms as well a 22x16 bass drum per usual. All drums are mahogany shells with maple re-rings with round over edges. looks super sweet if you ask me!

This quote is from the Zildjian Artists website for Tre Cool. "Tré's solid and always tasteful drumming has earned him respect as one of rock's best drummers. He uses a variety of Zildjian cymbals, including K Dark Thin Crashes and Zildjian Tré Cool Artist Series Drumsticks."

He uses it because he has a low pitch crash next to the high A Medium Thin Crash.

In this video, Tré Cool discusses the many cymbals he uses, including his trash smash. The 19" K Custom is the only trash smash Zildjian offers (as far as I'm aware), so this must be the one he is referencing. According to Tré, "it runs off batteries AND gas."

Was lucky enough to catch one of these after he threw some out to the crowd after a concert in Dublin in June 2010.

In Drummer magazine, May 1998 issue, an advert shows Tré Cool using Zildjian Super 5B Wood Tip drumsticks.

Bought by Tre in 1993 and extensively used throughout 1993 and 1994 live as shown in the provided picture from their Dookie tour.
