"Pat Foley of Slingerland called me one day and told me he liked the band and he liked my playing. He said that they didn't have many endorsers - in fact, I might be the only one getting their drums for free. I might get in trouble for saying that, but they've been totally cool to me. They don't say shit when I break a drum and ask for a new one, a they really make the best drums I've ever played, the best drums in the world," comments Tre Cool on his sponsorship with Slingerland in an article from Modern Drummer. Tre used various Slingerland Studio King drumkits during the 1997 and 1998. You can read quote, as well as the full article here.
