In this short video, Überzone explains offline processing in Cubase 4. He demonstrates how any plugin can be processed (bounced down) within the DAW and instantly apply the plugin effects to a single element or to all the elements in the track, reducing CPU usage. Cubase also keeps a log of every plugin that has been applied to a particular event, allowing the user to edit the plugin settings if necessary and reapply the effect to all the elements, including any subsequent audio in the mix chain.
