Thanks for the suggestions! It looks like I have more research ahead of me. I'll let you guys know where I land, and will definitely share my thoughts on whatever I end up with.

I have the Eventide Space. It is gorgeous and crazy, but it's also got a big emphasis on "big sounds". If you're looking for something more pedal-y than rack-y how about an EHX Cathedral? That's a pretty solid reverb unit for half the cost.

Gorgeous and crazy "big sounds" doesn't make me want it less. :)

I'm not sure if this will help, since you seem to be into hardware but the Epic Verb free plugin has gotten rave reviews. (not sure if it's available for mac though)

I'm lacking decent reverb in my setup. My mixer [Zed 12-FX] has a few different reverbs, but the quality of the effects on the mixer aren't all that great.

I'd like to get something dedicated to reverb. So far, I'm considering these:

Eventide Space Reverb

Make Noise Erb-Verbe

Tiptop Z-DSP w/ Valhalla Reverb

I think I'm leaning towards the Eventide, since it wouldn't take up space in my rack. Anyone have experience with one or more of these? Would love to hear your thoughts.

It's a question, I don't know how/where to do that.

The gear is the Squier Vintage Modified Bass VI, which is listed as being used by Robert Smith, from The Cure, but he never used it and there is no evidence of him using it anywhere (because it never happened). The picture used for that is of him playing a (probably vintage) Fender Bass VI.

I'm not sure those are the right ones. They don't have white woofers or the marking that's below the woofers.

If not for the silver band around the woofer, I'd have thought they were something from the Yamaha HS series. Maybe they come with different finishes in different markets though?

I don't personally have experience with any of the three you're considering, but it looks like they all have free demo versions available. Have you given them a try?

We've tossed around the idea of letting people tag their gear setup photos as a way of adding items to their boards. With photos tagged, we'd be able to show gear setup photos on relevant item pages. I think that could be an interesting.

Would love to hear what other people think about tagging photos.

Hey Andrew, is there a reason you would want your account to be a "Pro" vs the type of account you have? I'm curious, as we get the question from people a lot, and really the only benefit of having the "pro" distinction is that fans can add to the Pro Artist's Equipboard.

It's not exactly an AI, but the ZED mixers from Allen & Heath have a DI for guitars and USB. I wonder if that might work for your needs? The ZED-10FX is in your price range and they make one without effects that's even more affordable. I have the 12FX and it's great, though I've never hooked a guitar up to it.

We're musicians and we always wondered what kind of gear our favorite artists used. There wasn't really a single place to find this kind of information, and when you could find it there generally wasn't any proof of the artists actually using what they were claimed to have used.

We thought there should be one place people could go to discover the gear their favorite artists use. That's why we built Equipboard.

The core of what we do is catalog the gear influential artists use, like you've done with your great submissions for Joe Satriani and Dimebag Darrell.

As you've discovered, you can also share and review the gear you have on your own Equipboard. It's fun to share the things we're proud of, and it's often helpful to hear what other people think about their gear.

I'm curious, as you've done most of the things that are possible on the site, is there anything you feel is missing? We're still learning and trying to build this together with the community, so any feedback you have is most welcomed.

Also, is it acceptable to post equipment that artists have used in the past (that I can confirm) but no longer use?

Definitely. If you can provide a verifiable source with the submission, go for it!
