The Fender website features Simon and the guitars that he uses, including his signature Fender Stratocaster.

At 3:28 his tech states there the Texas specials and he uses the bridge exclusivity with volume on 10 and higher action with the middle and neck pickup lowered because of how hard he plays.

At 1:03 in the first video in this article, Simon mentions his use of a Boss MT-2 Metal Zone pedal.

Around 1:20 in the first video in this article, Simon Neil mentions his use of a Boss DS-1, which he calls his softer distortion pedal.

The Boooom Blast overdrive and Fuzz pedal is Simon Neil's signature pedal and was custom built by Richard Pratt (aka Churd) for Simon Neil. The pedal was limited to 200 units all hand build by Richard and signed and a blue paint stripe painted on by Simon. The pedals were distributed through Biffy Clyro's website and went up for pre-order on the 6th of November 2020.

At 1:26 in this live performance at the 2010 V Festival, Simon can be seen playing through a Marshall Plexi 1959SLP amp head tilted on its side.

Simon can be seen using a Standard Telecaster in this music video and also on some live shows.

Simon rack at the top is a Cali 76 compressor 13:51 his tech states there's a compressor running over everything just taming the strats and adding sustain.

At 17:05 his tech says his clean sound comes from his fender super sonic, just using the front channel on the bassman side, slightly overdriven. just strat through that.

In a YouTube video titled "Simon Neil (Biffy Clyro) - Acoustic - 28/03/2020," Simon Neil can be seen using the Ernie Ball Music Man St. Vincent HH Signature Guitar during a live performance from his home.

In a photo by tanyaisuppose on Flickr, Simon Neil is shown using the Electro-Harmonix POG2 Polyphonic Octave Generator. This suggests he upgraded from the smaller POG model he previously used.

In this video you can see Chief's pedal rack and there are at least 3 delays, a DD3, DD6 and DD7

In view on Simons pedal board is a DD6 alongside a DD7.

Simon uses a White Falcon for this live performance of Diary of Always (see video). He also mentions this guitar a lot in interviews, saying that he uses it mainly at home to write.

At 17:30 we've got 2 different kempers to give it 2 different sounds but their more flavours to add on top of the distortions and special effects and intros that sort of stuff that's what the kempers for it doesn't run all the time just for some of the fun bits.
