Description

Unleash your inner rock star with the Fender Super-Sonic 100 100W Tube Guitar Amp Head — a powerhouse amplifier that fuses classic Fender clean tones with fierce high-gain soundscapes. This head is a part of Fender's revered Pro Tube Series and is designed for guitarists who crave tonal versatility without sacrificing character. The Vintage Channel delivers shimmering cleans and the thick, punchy voice reminiscent of a '60s-era Bassman amp, while the Burn Channel offers a spectrum of overdrive from bluesy tones to full-on sonic armageddon.

Turn up the heat with the Arena/Club switch, which allows you to drop the power down to 25 watts for a venue-friendly volume without losing that iconic tube tone. Fine-tune your sound with the Notch Tune control, offering a range of American and British amp flavors, and the rear-panel Damping Control to shape your speaker response. Fender's Automatic Bias control enables you to set the output tubes effortlessly, ensuring optimal performance with no tools needed.

The Super-Sonic 100 also includes an effects loop with level control and a 4-button footswitch for on-the-fly adjustments. Built with a Baltic birch plywood cabinet and featuring an amplifier cover, this head is as durable as it is stylish. Whether you're playing a club gig or headlining an arena, the Super-Sonic 100 is your ticket to an unforgettable performance.

Fender Super-Sonic 100 Review | AF's Weblog

wordpress.com

The Fender Super-Sonic 100 Amp Head dazzles with its dynamic range of clean tones and versatile lead channel, thanks to the innovative Notch Tune control. The aesthetic appeal is undeniable with options in Black/Silver or Blond finishes. However, its hefty weight of 53 lbs and premium price tag might give some buyers pause. Despite a minor cosmetic flaw in the vinyl covering, the amp's robust features, including dual clean channels, a crunchy sound, and a reliable 4-button footswitch, make it a top contender for those who can afford it. A worthy investment for Fender enthusiasts who crave tonal flexibility.

Stay classy, Fender

This for me + the combination of the speaker cab is effectively suited for my style. The amp doesn't cater an excessive desire to produce more treble, but more bass... this for me is a natural flavour to add to my individual sound and does't lead to ear piercing over tones that put listeners and myself at a disposition.

Next in the signal chain would be the amp. Whether it’s the Two-Rock or the Fender Supersonic, I just need a big, open clean amp—just something that doesn’t tend to break up. I used to play a lot of Hiwatts because I could never get the clean to break up.
