Albert Hammond Jr

Albert Hammond Jr frequently uses a Fender Stratocaster 1985 Re-Issue as his primary guitar. During The Strokes' performance at the Isle of Wight Festival in 2010, he is seen playing this guitar. Additionally, in a Reverb interview, he shares the story behind acquiring this instrument, highlighting its significance in his collection.

Albert and Nick from The Strokes use the Fender Hot Rod Deville 2x12 as their main recording and live amp. It can be seen throughout the video.

I noticed Albert first changing from his trademark to the 68 custom deluxe reverb at a spring 2019 show in Toronto but could not find good footage to back up. In this video it is clear at 8:51.

Stage left during the All Points East festival, we can see Albert is using the JC-40 (may be a JC-22) in conjunction with another amp.

Albert Hammond Jr confirmed via Instagram that he uses Ernie Ball Ultra Slinky Guitar Strings (10-48) on his Stratocaster. This information was obtained through a direct message exchange.

In this photo from Albert Hammond, Jr's official Twitter page, his pedal-board includes an Electro-Harmonix MicroSynth XO guitar effects pedal.

On this publication, Ernie Ball shows that Albert uses this strings.

Albert mentions that during the early days of the Strokes he used a Rickenbacker 325 similar to the one John Lennon played in Hamburg. This article also lists a Rickenbacker 3 pickup in his gear list.

Albert Hammond, Jr. is currently showcasing its flexibility with his band The Strokes and has this to say about it:

You can check in this tweet a photograph of a Jekyll and Hyde [V2] with some reinforcement in Albert's pedalboard. He used to use the first (red) version of it, but it looks like he just did an improvement hehehe
