I have this and use it as my main guitar, it's just such a dream to play with it's 50's neck and doesn't have the complication of all the coil splitting and what not. Just really works well. Into a Marshall theres nothing better! Only thing is it's damn heavy!
Really great clean or with a bit of drive. Use it mostly in open G for slide but it really relishes those vibrant open chords.

This amp is now getting very close to being 10 years old and has been beaten as a road dog. I love what this 50w amp gives me and with a recent service & now loaded with 'EHX Gold Lion' KT66's this thing is sounding better than ever.

Effects Pedals 17

Great usability, good sub octave, good up octave, nice fuzz even when its isolated, clean, sturdy, beautiful gear even for a guy who's not a Slash fan. (not me, I am a slash fan) ahah
The joys sticks are fun to use, less intuitive than a straight out expression pedal but of course you cannot change the depth on the effect with an expression pedal. Wide range of fuzz tones, it's one of my favourites as far as fuzzes go. Tremolo very good with the joy stick for instant speed changing. Although I would say if you're looking for a trem thats very accurate when you manoeuvre it this isn't really it. It's more like an old amp style trem.
The reverse is great, you can get a slap back, long drawn out, a nice analogue, space noises and you ca even trick it into being a loop pedal. Also the stereo outputs are fun. This pedal is all over my live show.
Really really really wish it had an expression pedal
Works for a variety of phase tones, exp in would be nice. But not still a real solid pedal as you will find with MXR.
You can achieve basically any way sound you want. Also the owners manual shows examples of the settings to achieve famous wah tones like Hendrix or Page etc. Only criticism of this pedal is that it doesn't have an LED so you've gotta be careful to see if its on or not.
You can make it a chorus, octave pedal, harmonizer or just be Tom Morello
Problem is as with all gates, cleans can be compromised, any dynamic volume swells can be wrecked. Just use it as minimally as possible.

Really good for certain things, that middle pickup can help you get some gnarly fuzz tones too. Found tuning fairly unstable due to neck joint. Doesn't play that nice, but that kinda just makes you play differently.
I have this guitar and I love that it doesn't weigh a tonne. The P-90's are really cool, plenty of beef with clarity you just can't get from a humbucker. Tuning stability leaves a little bit to be desired but that's probably a Bigsby thing. Great rock n' roll guitar!
