Description
Unleash the beast with the MXR SF-01 Slash Octave Fuzz, a rock 'n' roll titan born from a dynamic collaboration between rock legend Slash and MXR Innovations. This pedal serves up a sizzling fuzz tone, but its true magic lies in the harmonious dance between its three distinct voices: a main fuzz, a sub octave, and an octave up.
Crafted for those who crave versatility, it provides an arsenal of controls for you to shape and mold your sound, resulting in an endless array of fuzz-drenched effects. From the dense '70s shag of the main fuzz to the chainsaw grind of the octave up and the low-end growl of the sub octave, the SF-01 is a ticket to a sonic playground.
Decked out with custom Slash graphics and a distressed hot-rod finish, this pedal is not only a powerhouse of tone but a feast for the eyes. Built like a tank, it features a heavy-duty housing, durable jacks, and switches, ensuring it stands up to the rigors of the road.

Great sound, I just don't know what I want to do with it.
The Octave and Fuzz feature can get a little messy and have two separate Octave and Fuzz pedals can give you wider effect capabilities but this gives you what you need in one package. Can sound really amazing and sound pretty terrible but that only because it gives you enough effect to become terrible. If a pedal doesn't sound terrible if you crank it up all the way, you have a week pedal.

"This is a new Dunlop pedal they just came out with for us," Slash's guitar tech says at (4:25). The Octave fuzz, "is a fuzz and an octave pedal. It gives you your basic signal, and an octave below and it fuzzes them both," he said. "It really fattens the sound up between the octave pedal and the fuzz, it really goes crazy. You can hear it most prominently in 'Paradise City' in the middle solo...it really makes for a fat, colorful sound."
