really? i love squier (though they arent a replacement for fender imo). theyre light, portsble, cheap and 99% good quality.

pass. youre better off with a squier, plus they look better. shit is ugly.

see, i find that the fender rumble overdrive circuit does a thing that isnt shittily emulating a tube. it made its own sound, which i like on a j style pickuo a lot

ye, thats super cool. i might do that... but i feel like i ought to get somethng that isnt designed for one specific thing, and do everythign with it.

LOL! i would love a kemperXD
anywho, i dont JUST play metal, which is why i want an orange or mayyyyyybe a vox. Slipknot's guitarist uses an orange terror head, so it can cover that base. and look at matt bellamy, who played ac30s for a bit, or kurt cobain. i want something that can cover all the bases in my arsenal, so thaqts why its even a question.

and if I found a decent sounding Orange solid state, should I throw it out with the rest? I think itsounds nice...

I knew exactly what you were going to say, but the Marshall bit surprised me.
Yeah, I narrowed it down to an original Tiny Terror, an AC15, and even though i KNOW i cant afford it, that wont stop me from playing the JCM800.
JET CITY.... tell ,e more

Im debating between buying one of any of these brands. What are your opinions on them? Jim, I have an odd feeling I know exactly what youre going to say.

if you're going fender, then you're going a really high end strat probably, woth noisless pups. or aa jaguar, because low output.

I have a single broken guitar stand, so Westley the Ibanez enjoys the luxurious seat on my couch while Alex the Squier sits on the old rickety stand held together by some heroic duct tape

ah. i had a band that i worked for doing sound a year ago that had one, they relacquered it with the wear.

I really like the look of them when the paint scratches off though.

The Big Muff: Original, Mini, or Nano
yeah... from what ive tried, if you put a tube screamer in front of the new fender mustang amps or bssbreakers it sounds really good and fixes their gross ass gain
but the bass breaker has cool modern gain on its own

thats why solid states are great (imo), some pedals cost more than them

there needs to be a terms and conditions for making a profile clearly outlining jim and the risks of being on the same forum as him
you also need to mention the absolute amount of shit youre gonna get when you ask fro advice. you want a single pedal recommendation? jim has 20. you want a solid state amp? tubes, says jim.
i hope you know im kidding im drunk at 12:00 pm

thats so cool! my band likes to do extended free jazz noodle sessions that are heavily based in our punk sound.
