Super useful
This is pretty compact way to address a pair of issues endemic to long signal change: signal loss and noise. And you get a clean boost as a bonus. The pedal contains two buffers, one for the start of the loop and one at the end. And it's got a noise filter and a tuner out option. Very handy.

Great for Ronson tones
It's your classic Tonebender MK-1, but with added controls for tone and gate. The latter comes in handy as the original MK-1s were pretty gated.

Love this
I know they're discontinued and John Snyder from Electronic Audio Experiments told me that he's equally enamored of his collaboration with Electrofoods Ltd., the Kerria Lacca, which is worth seeking out if you can't find a Dude Incredible, although both are rare. Regardless, I love having the IVP-style preamp as a boost that adds some grind to my tone, and the Harmonic Percolator clone is plenty violent on its own. Put 'em together and it's pure grindhouse horror-bliss, yet lots of articulation as well. Works well on a board, but also the kind of pedal you can throw in a bag with your cables and jam econo.

Great setup. May I ask what type of cables you're using?
EBS Premium Gold Flat Patch Cables. I got a deal here a while back: https://8thstreet.com/Product/Get/75667/ebs-pcf-pg58-premium-gold-flat-patch-cable-2283-inch-2283-inch-premium-gold-flat-patch-cable
Great setup! I have a few of these; thinking about the Microcosm. What do you think of it?
I've had the Microcosm since this summer and feel like I'll be uncovering the possibilities of this pedal for some time to come. I guess the best way to describe it right now is an idea box -- every time I engage it and start tweaking, I come up with some new direction. I do like to pair it with something traditional, i.e., plugging an acoustic guitar, a 12-string electric or a dirt pedal and then seeing what weird trails come out of it. Overall, what I like about it is that it's not a gimmick pedal that you use for one song. It has hundreds of applications, and I'm a long way from settling on any go-to settings yet.
Thanks for the reply. I'm placing an order for one, for exactly those reasons: creative idea box!
Lot of interesting stuff on this board I would love to try. I was also intrigued because I saw the Janglebox so I peeked at your guitars as well and see you also play Rics, Jags and Teles. What kind of stuff do you play with all of this?
Thanks, lazarus! I've thinned the herd a bit since this photo was taken. (I was experimenting with a lot of different boosts, overdrives and fuzzes at the time.)
I guess what I play is everything from punk and classic pop to noisier stuff, whatever serves the song best. I'm currently playing two Rics (a 330 6-string and a 360 12-string), three Fenders (Jaguar, Jazzmaster, Telecaster), two Gibsons (SG and J-45 acoustic), and an Epiphone Casino.
