Aquarian Nu-Brite Heads Tested! - DRUM! Magazine

drummagazine.com

Aquarian's Nu-Brite Drumheads are a hit, particularly for drummers seeking modern sound that cuts through amplified settings. The revamped Mylar film delivers rich, clear tones, and the Classic Clear heads shine on toms and snares, offering a dynamic range from jazz to rock. The Response 2 and Force 10s cater to heavier genres with durability and depth, while the Superkick series provides impressive bass drum presence without extra muffling. Though the Force 10s struggle at extreme tunings, overall, the heads boast versatility and quality, marking a successful update from Aquarian.

Gear Review: How We Feel About Aquarian Reflector Series Heads | Tom Tom Magazine

tomtommag.com

Aquarian's Reflector Series drumheads deliver exceptional sound quality and versatility, with their hybrid construction offering warm tones at low volumes and bright articulation when played hard. While there were initial concerns about potential deadness at low volumes, these heads perform well even with lighter playing. The aesthetic appeal of their black mirrored appearance is a bonus. Overall, the Reflectors provide a significant enhancement in drum sound, making them a standout choice for drummers seeking both style and substance.

Aquarian Heads....

Best heads i've ever played! Great sound and the coating wears like iron. I use Super2 coated on the toms, SuperKick2 on the bass batter (SuperKick1 coated on the front) and Texturecoated on the snare. Aquarians cost a bit more but they make up for it in tone and performance.
