Cinematic Strings 2.0

soundonsound.com

Cinematic Strings 2.0 is a solid upgrade to its predecessor, bringing enhanced playability and sound quality. The improved GUI, new staccatissimo samples, and smarter legato engine enhance its appeal for composers seeking lush orchestral strings. While missing some advanced features like glissandi, it compensates with a streamlined interface and intelligent sample loading. The redesign maintains its vibrant sound, making it a versatile tool for film scores. Despite a few omissions, the library's expressive and high-quality sound offers great value for composers looking for dynamic string arrangements.

Review: Cinematic Strings 2.0 — AudioTechnology

audiotechnology.com

Cinematic Strings 2.0 offers a no-nonsense, high-quality string library perfect for composers in need of concert hall strings without the frills. Its intuitive GUI and compatibility with Kontakt make it easy to use, and its sound quality is exceptional. While the library lacks extended features and solo instruments, it suits those prioritizing reliability and simplicity over extensive articulations and effects. The installation process may require tech support, and it doesn't allow direct loading of all strings across the keyboard, but overall it's a well-priced, dependable tool for straightforward string arrangements.
