In a photo taken by a visitor, John Lennon's Dallas Tuxedo bass was spotted in his former bedroom, now used for storage.
On this interview for elixir strings, from minute 2:00 JPJ explains that the Dallas Tuxedo was the first bass he bought when he was a teenager after convincing his father to be the guarantor of the purchase. Then he tells that in 2009 he bought another one off ebay.
It is also stated on page 204 of 'Peter Green: Founder of Fleetwood Mac: The Authorised Biography' (by Martin Celmins, 1998 edition) that "Peter's Dallas Tuxedo was "for home use", although he can be seen playing it on the promo film for 'Man of the World'."
(At the time of this entry the image for Dallas Tuxedo on equipboard is of a Dallas Tuxedo bass and not the single cutaway 6 string guitar of the style used by Peter Green).
This was the Japanese Bass that Bill Wyman transformed into a fretless. He used this in their very early gigs in 1963. He last used it to mime The Last Time in the Top of the Pops. https://youtu.be/27ouOE4RvUc
