My 1st Bass
I’ve still got my 1st bass from Bass Cellar in 1994. I upgraded the pick ups to Quarter Pounders and added a better scratch plate. I leant it to Nigel Ross-Scott of The Re-Flex, and he said it plays as well as a Fender P. I think I got lucky.

All right for beginners
It plays well. It is enough to learn the notes on the fretboard. I put Fender Nylon Tapewounds 58s (0.58 - .110) on it and you can play without hurting your fingers almost forever. Of course maybe same strings would sound better on a 1000 dollar bass, but for 60 pounds (second hand) I thing it is a bargain.
