Description
Introducing the Ernie Ball Music Man DarkRay Bass Guitar, a revolutionary instrument that fuses traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology. This collaboration with Darkglass Electronics has birthed a bass guitar that offers a wide spectrum of sonic capabilities.
The soul of this instrument resides in the custom-designed modern 2 Band EQ preamp by Darkglass, which features three distinct modes: Clean, Alpha, and Omega. With a turn of a knob, you can shift from crisp clean tones to tight distortion (Alpha) or venture into the realm of profound fuzz (Omega). This innovative preamp ensures there's no loss of low-end frequency, allowing you to deliver those deep, punchy bass lines with absolute clarity.
Moreover, the DarkRay isn't just about sound. It embodies the quality and aesthetics of the Stingray Special series, boasting a neodymium humbucking pickup, a roasted maple neck, a comfort contoured body, 22 stainless steel frets, and the classic 3+1 headstock configuration. The onboard gain knob and blend control are easily adjusted, and the LED ring and 3-way lever switch indicate your chosen mode - a perfect blend of form and function.

In this Instagram photo posted by Gojira official from May 2022, you can see Jean-Michel playing a DarkRay. At first glance, this appears to be a regular Stingray Special 4H, but upon closer inspection, you can clearly see the selector switch which is not present on the 4H. Additionally, under one of the knobs, you can see the Alpha/Omega LED ring.
