Description

Welcome to ESP's first ever 9-string guitar, in collaboration with Kawaii metal band Babymetal. Their unique blend of J-pop vocals and prog metal instrumentation is a refreshingly catchy concoction - garnering plenty of praise for its musicality, as well as the obvious wow factor.

The Japanese-made MF-9 E-II monster was used on the album Metal Galaxy and is appropriately finished in a custom album artwork graphic. Don't be fooled, this isn't just for spectacle. It's kitted out with all the latest hardware and construction details to make traversing nine strings as easy as possible. Anderton's

ESP just put out an impossibly heavy Babymetal 9-string | Guitar World

guitarworld.com

The ESP E-II MF-9 BABYMETAL Limited Edition guitar is a striking homage to the band, with its nine-string design and sleek Black Satin finish. Featuring high-quality components like an EMG humbucker and a comfortable neck, it promises an impressive playing experience. However, the hefty price tag of around $2,945 may deter some, especially those not fully committed to the Babymetal aesthetic. While it excels in craftsmanship, it may appeal primarily to dedicated fans rather than a broader audience.

This 9-STRING GUITAR From ESP and BABYMETAL Is The Heaviest Thing We've Seen In A Minute - Gear Gods

geargods.net

The ESP E-II MF-9 BABYMETAL Limited Edition guitar is a striking collaboration that offers a unique 9-string experience, aiming squarely at metal enthusiasts. With its sleek design and powerful EMG 909 pickups, it delivers impressive sound quality and versatility. However, at a steep price of nearly $3,000, some may find it hard to justify the investment, especially given the niche appeal of a 9-string setup. While it shines in craftsmanship and aesthetic, its weight and the specialized nature of its strings may not cater to every player's needs. Overall, this guitar is a bold choice for dedicated fans, but potential buyers should consider their specific requirements before taking the plunge.

ESP have launched a Babymetal nine-string guitar - Mixdown Magazine

mixdownmag.com.au

The ESP E-II MF-9 BABYMETAL Limited Edition guitar is a striking blend of aesthetics and advanced features, boasting a 27.99" scale and nine strings that challenge the norm. Its sleek Black Stain finish and Babymetal branding add visual flair, while the alder body and thin-U neck promise playability. However, with only one EMG 909 humbucker, players might find themselves limited in tonal versatility. While the guitar caters well to fans of the band and those seeking an eye-catching instrument, its specialized design may not appeal to all musicians. Ultimately, it excels in craftsmanship but leaves some room for improvement in sound options.
