Great-value Electric XII
I picked one of these up second-hand for less than £300, and wasn't disappointed. If you're looking for that Byrdsy jangle (like I am) but can't afford or don't want to drop £3k on a Rickenbacker, this is a great alternative. The workmanship isn't perfect (crackly selector switch) but it plays nicely, stays in tune, and sells new for less than £500. What's not to like?

Dunno why I even still own this.
The one I have? Terrible. Almost no articulation at all. I've fiddled with with the tone, blend, etc. & it only made a bit of progress in my efforts. Even at very low gain it you can hardly tell it's a 12 string. Slightly better on arpeggios but not much. I suppose I could get into the pickups & such but I was so off put by it from the start (I did get it for like 150, that's why I rolled the dice) it became hard to care.
I'm actually now remembering why I do still have it. I'm gonna string it up with only the 6 12 string strings & see how it'll do at the famous Tom Petty 12 string sound by recording 2 guitars- 1 with regular strings, the 2nd with the rest. Maybe then it'll shine? I'll update if it's successful.

In this pic you can see that Mr. Wolfhard plays on a 12-string Danelectro. I’m not an expert but this and about 1 other pic is all I can find where you can spot Finn playing on a Danelectro 12-string so I assume that the both pics were taken on the same concert. I think it’s pretty cool that he have such a vartiation of the guitars he play, everyting from a fender duo sonic to this one!
