Review: Fishman Loudbox Artist Amp Delivers Plenty of Clean Sound and an Array of Extra Features | Acoustic Guitar

acousticguitar.com

The Fishman Loudbox Artist PRO-LBX-600 is a compact powerhouse, delivering clean sound with impressive volume and a versatile array of features. Weighing just 25 pounds, it’s perfect for musicians on the go. The dual-channel setup, complete with XLR mic inputs and phantom power, makes it flexible for various performance settings. Its internal effects, including reverb and chorus, are praised for their quality, offering a broad tonal palette. However, some features like a tuner out and TRS input for dual-source pickups are missing. Overall, it’s a reliable choice for gigging guitarists, providing portability without compromising on sound quality or functionality.

Fishman Loudbox Artist Acoustic Amp Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

The Fishman Loudbox Artist PRO-LBX-600 Acoustic Amplifier impresses with its versatility and power, delivering 120 watts in a compact, lightweight package. It excels in small-to-medium venues with its dual-channel setup, anti-feedback controls, and a range of digital effects including reverb, delay, and chorus. The amp's clarity and natural sound are praised, even when effects are employed. However, the inability to independently control both effects banks simultaneously is a minor setback. Overall, it's an excellent choice for musicians seeking portability and built-in effects, making it a solid contender for your amp requirements.

Great sound, less sure of the quality

Love the sound out of this thing for my electric and acoustic-electric violin. Sounds so much better than a standard electric guitar amp. Mine (brand new) came with a wonky volume knob where if I turned it just so, the sound would conk out. I had to send it back to the manufacturer to fix. Took several weeks but works well now.

Really great for acoustic guitar - tough little box - lots of useable features

The Fishman and AER are up there as top amps for acoustic guitar. This model has full featured 2 channels as well as an auxiliary channel which can be used as a third channel so long as the signal is preamped. I have used this for over 800 gigs and it's super reliable. No problems - versatile - great sound - lots of features.
