This Imperial 5-string was built for Brazilian bassist and Fodera artist, Ney Concaição! As both a bass player and a composer, Concaição has been a part of numerous recordings in Brazil and has toured extensively in South America, Europe, and the United States. Ney’s new bass features an Ash body, Ash tone block, and Birdseye Maple fingerboard. Tonally, this instrument sits firmly on the bright end of the spectrum, with a powerful, punchy low end and snappy, articulate highs. This instrument utilizes a set of Fodera/Duncan dual coil pickups housed in DC 40 covers, so they can be swapped with a set of EMG 40 soapbars at some point in the future, without the need to modify the routings!

This bass also features a wonderful light Buckeye Burl solid top and a gold volume/tone stack knob for some aesthetic flare!
