Description

This model is the Hofner 500/5 bass that players nicknamed the 333 model as a reference to the Selmer catalog number #333. This model was most famously used by Stuart Sutcliffe in the earliest lineup of The Beatles.

In 1963 Hofner changed the name of this bass to the Hofner 500/5 President. 50-years later a Chinese-built model has been release called the Hofner Contemporary Series 500/5 President with a center block instead of full hollow body spec.
