Hotone British Invasion Amp Review | Performer Mag

performermag.com

The Hotone Nano Legacy British Invasion delivers classic Vox AC30 tones in an ultra-compact, budget-friendly package. Its responsive EQ and gain controls offer rich, dynamic sound from chimey cleans to saturated overdrive, suitable for both single coil and humbucking pickups. Despite its 5-watt power, it's impressively loud, ideal for small venues. Purists might doubt its small size, but at just $99, it's a stellar value for authentic British tones without the price of a full-sized amp.

Great backup amp....replaced my Orange Rocker 30

Yes, you read that correctly, I bought this as a backup for my valve amp, and haven't played my Orange at all since. This is 5W, sits on your pedal board, so you have a cab, a guitar and a pedal board to carry in. If you plug straight into a PA or DI you don't even need the cab. This is an excellent unit, and for the low price it's even worth it as a gamble (as was my case): I was looking for a backup unit when my band toured interstate for a couple of shows, it ended up being my main rig for the next year. Absolutely worked in a band setup (reggae/gospel, not metal), and the volume was enough for a community concert hall. Can't recommend this unit enough.

Pocket Full Of British (AC-30) Rock

This is a great little amp that is modeled after the AC-30 sound. I use it as a practice amp at home, but also take it with me and keep it in my bag as a spare amplifier. Mic'd up, this little guy can keep up with the best of them and sounds great doing it!!!

Solid bedroom level or direct-in amp

Kept this on my pedalboard for a while. Ran it stereo directly into the PA paired with the Nano Legacy Mojo Diamond.
