Honey!
I've got an handmade replique of this fantastic amp and totally love it! The sweet warm cleans and the rough, rocking overdrive are what everyone who is into blues and classic guitar sounds wants!

It is also the loudest 30 to 45 watts you will ever hear through a vintage-accurate marshall cab with alnico celestion speakers or clones... but tonally, one of Marshalls handful of shining moments. They got it right first try. I always much preferred the JTM45 to the superleads I used to favor...

John Mayer posted an image on his Instagram on the 10th March 2018 of a Marshall JTM45 Mk.II Plexi with two cabinets.
"Pulled out the Marshall JTM45 mk II plexi today. Just like Jimi used to play. There aren’t many of these still standing. I don’t expect an overwhelming number of likes on this, but the ones I get are going to be valued at 2.4x because this is as badass as it gets."
Jimi famously used Marshall JTM 45/100 heads. The 100 watt version of the JTM45. Specially the 1966 JTM 45/100.
In the video titled "Led Zeppelin - Mimed in Stockholm (March 14th, 1969) - Communication Breakdown (Promo Video)," created by ledzepfilm and found on YouTube, Jimmy Page can be seen using a Marshall JTM45 45W Tube Guitar Amp Head along with a Sound City 4x12” cabinet.

From an eMusician interview that is no longer available:
“ I didn’t want to go for a modern Marshall amp sound. I wanted to do something that sounded more like a classic rock tone. I used a Vox AC 30 and a 1974 Marshall JTM45. We miked the room and captured that.”
The speculation that Mark Knopfler used the Marshall JTM45 in the studio has spread to many forums across the web, but validation is difficult to prove. The Mark Knopfler Guitar Site article Mark Knopfler’s JTM 45 Marshall amp of Money for Nothing and Brothers in Arms presents an image of the JTM45 amp and cab assumed to be the same used on recording of both albums as referenced in Producer Guy "Dr. Fletch" Fletchers recording diaries with the photo.
Unfortunately, the diary entry from Dr. Flecth currently presents a 404 error.
