Korg Pitchclip PC-1 guitar tuner review - menga.net

menga.net

Korg's Pitchclip PC-1 is a standout in the clip-on tuner market, offering ease of use with its single-button functionality and clever display flip feature. The clip tension is perfectly calibrated, ensuring no damage to any guitar finish. Its bright, color-coded LEDs make tuning straightforward, even from a distance. Battery changes are a breeze, adding to its user-friendly design. While the lack of a flat indicator is a minor drawback, the overall performance surpasses its predecessor, the NS Tuner. At around $20, it's a smart buy for any guitarist.

Review: Korg Pitchclip PC-1 – Al Librero

allibrero.com

The Korg PC1 Pitchclip tuner is a budget-friendly option that offers the brand's signature accuracy, but it struggles with pitch tracking, especially on wound strings. Its performance is inconsistent, with erratic tracking that might affect tuning precision. While it eventually aligns with more expensive models like the Pitchblack, the initial instability can be a setback. Despite its shortcomings, the Pitchclip manages to compete, but it may not replace more reliable tuners for demanding users. Overall, it's a decent choice for casual use but might not satisfy those seeking precision.

Review: Korg PC-1 Pitchclip Clip-On Tuner | Guitar World

guitarworld.com

The Korg PC-1 Pitchclip clip-on tuner is a compact, user-friendly device that stands out for its simplicity and practicality. It excels in avoiding the bulkiness and design flaws common in other clip-on tuners, making it an attractive choice for musicians seeking convenience. However, its functionality may be limited for those requiring more advanced features or precision. While it serves its basic purpose well, the absence of additional capabilities might deter more demanding users. Overall, the review presents a balanced view, highlighting the tuner's strengths in portability and ease of use, while also noting its limitations for professional applications.

It'll do for now

Mine is the black version, not the white version. It's inexpensive, does not get in the way, long battery life, works. Sometimes I wonder whether my guitar is just hard to tune or this thing is slightly inaccurate. My gut says my guitar just sucks a little, lol. Maybe I'll shell out more cash for a better tuner someday when I can actually justify the cost, but I would sooner fix or replace my guitar than do that...

Does the job

I use this live primarily with my acoustic. Works remarkably well, if mistaking the E for an B sometimes. Brilliant value for money, regardless.
