    Source

    Source
  • Some users experience a "dead zone" where the tuner inaccurately shows strings as in tune despite audible discrepancies.

    Source
  • The Snark tuners have a mic and vibration setting, but the mic setting can be unreliable with ambient noise.

Build quality

  • Over time, Snark tuners can develop a sticky residue due to plastic oxidation, becoming difficult to clean without isopropyl alcohol.

    Source

    Source
  • Owners report the Snark's plastic prongs holding the ball joint tend to crack over time, leading to the tuner eventually breaking.

Common, cheap, reliable

Great tuner, bright display, good battery life. Uses common CR2032 battery. Easy to throw on any guitar. Watch out, they tend to disappear, lol.

daniel_carlile

Quality tuner that everybody knows and loves.

I don't think a guitar shop in the world exists without a bunch of these for sale for around $20. They do such a good job. They're easy and simple to use. I think every instrumentalist should own a Snark.

danham

Tiny and fast

I've been without an electronic tuner for my acoustic until now. This thing is fantastic. I can't really think of a way it could be better; it reacts instantly to tuning and is small and light enough to leave attached to my guitar semi-permanently.

dailydoze

Common but actually great quality.

Name another way to tune your guitar whilst actually knowing what you`re doing and not fiddling with a stompbox. Hmm?

raucusbacchus

Easy and Unobtrusive

Small, simple and reliable. Easy to use. Easy to read. Small enough that it's never in the way. ~m
